The New Atlas of Israel – the National Atlas
The Survey of Israel is proud to introduce "The New Atlas of Israel" in its English edition.
The New Atlas of Israel – the National Atlas offers a broad geographic perspective of the physical and human landscape of Israel. It is a detailed illustration concerning the history of the Jewish people, including their return to Eretz Israel in the last century and the building of the Jewish state.
This atlas is the product of a strong collaboration between the Survey of Israel and the Department of Geography at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. More so, the Ministry of Education and Culture considers the Atlas an integral tool in the Israeli curriculum for geography studies.
The Survey of Israel is the name of the government agency for Mapping, Geodesy, Cadastre, and Geo-informatics at the Ministry of Construction and Housing. For over 60 years, the Survey of Israel has been responsible for establishing the reference models and high standards for surveying and mapping products in Israel. It is the top professional authority concerning these subjects which employs a range of experts in various branches of the profession.
I believe that you will find the publication of the New Atlas of Israel, with its broad coverage of Israel's geography and history, a worthy and useful resource.
